Not All Lifts Are Created Equal
Mini lifts are a great way to make a substantial change in your confidence with the convenience of an in-office visit. While mini lifts can effectively approach a lift less invasively, a lift doesn’t have to be a mini lift to be performed in-office. Dr. McCoy Moretz of F.A.C.E. of Beverly Hills has performed numerous deep plane, multi-vector face and neck lifts in-office.
If you’re looking for the convenience of an in-office visit, remember that you may experience the benefits of a full face and neck lift in-office without having to compromise your degree of desired improvement. The belief that only mini lifts may be performed in-office, whether under general anesthesia or not, is a misconception perpetuated by doctors who cannot perform these kinds of procedures.

Deep plane, multi-vector face and neck lifts offer the most rejuvenating and longest lasting results of any procedure, whether performed under general anesthesia or not. Advanced nitrous oxide (laughing gas) and oxygen therapy is used during the procedure to ease anxiety and discomfort, especially during the initial numbing. The remainder of the procedure is generally described as pain free. These procedures offer the same benefits as many other face and neck procedures, including lifting and rejuvenating loose, sagging skin, eliminating wrinkles and fine lines, and restoring a youthful appearance to the facial area.
Full face and neck lifts may be provided in-office without general anesthesia, offering patients the benefit of a convenient appointment they can drive themselves home from after. Depending on the scope of your procedure, downtime may only last 7-10 days. Immediate post-surgical recovery is faster without general anesthesia, but the overall surgical recovery is unchanged.
With or without general anesthesia, procedures carry a similar incidence of possible bruising and edema, or swelling. To learn more about potential side effects, including minimizing the risk or severity of these symptoms, contact Dr. Mac today!
Dr. Moretz determines eligibility for in-office face and neck lifts based on the age, current health status, and medical history of each individual patient. Your expectations will also play a role in what recommendations Dr. Mac makes for your procedure. Safety is of paramount importance. Most of our average patients in good health are eligible for this procedure.
